Marc Bastow, MS
Senior Editor, CFRA, Accounting Research & Analytics, LLC
After a successful 25-year career in corporate finance, commercial banking and equipment leasing, Marc Bastow turned his attention towards a long-held love: writing and editing. A three-year stint of writing, editing and managing a high school sports website led to an Associate Editor position at InvestorPlace Media. Today Marc is a Senior Editor at CFRA, editing financial stock reports, publishing a weekly newsletter for CFRA’s clients and managing a base of 51 Industry Surveys published twice per year.
Marc started with Future Link as a mock interviewer, helping students learn about interview skills and strategies, which are a key to the success of the Future Link program. Marc became a seminar Facilitator for two semesters, enjoying each one immensely. “The gratification that comes with helping these incredible students is what led me to want to stay as part of the Future Link team.”
Marc earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, along with a Graduate Certificate of Business Management and a Master of Science in Finance from The American University. He resides in Rockville with his wife, Nancy, and lives close to his two children and three grandchildren.

Sherri is the Director of Business Readiness and Change Management at Sodexo USA, headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Sodexo is a global organization with 412,000 employees worldwide providing catering, facilities management, employee benefits, and personal home services to 100 million consumers daily in 56 countries. Sherri has over 15 years of experience leading programs that drive retention and employee performance in multiple industries, including Fortune 500 companies, Maryland State Government, and family-owned and operated businesses. In her current role, Sherri is responsible for leading US change strategies and preparing Sodexo USA for changes that impact people, processes, and technologies.
Sherri found her way to Future Link board membership through the Future Link mentoring program. Since January 2021, Sherri has served as a Future Link mentor. She is immensely proud of the progress made by her mentee and looks forward to their continued growth and development. In addition to Future Link, Sherri has dedicated many years to community service including CASA Prince George’s County and Boy Scouts of America. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University.

Consultant, Assessment and Outcomes Measurement, Montgomery College
A founding board member of Future Link, Dr. Weiner served as President from 2011 to 2020. He is a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, who retired in 2008 after 37 years as a faculty member at Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus. He holds a PhD in mathematical statistics from the University of Maryland. During his tenure at Montgomery College, Dr. Weiner served as Department Chair, maintained a continuing role as a faculty research associate in the Office of Planning and Institutional Research and developed and implemented a college-wide outcomes assessment plan for the College’s academic programs. He was also Co-Founder and Co-Director of the College’s highly successful Biomedical Scholars Program. Since 2001, Dr. Weiner has provided training and individual consultation to more than 200 non-profit organizations in Montgomery County on how to measure the impact of their services. In 2003, he was presented with a National Role Model Mentor Award by Minority Access, Inc. and received an honorary degree from Montgomery College in 2016.

Ms. Jennings founded Quincy CFO in 2010 to provide accounting and CFO services to businesses local to the D.C. metro area. Prior to starting her own business, and after working for Arthur Andersen LLP, Ms. Jennings worked as a leader in accounting and finance for a privately held real estate consulting firm and a publicly traded biotech company. She has helped her clients work towards growth and sustainability by building sound financial reporting, process improvement and strength in infrastructure throughout the back office. Ms. Jennings is active in the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, serving as a member of multiple committees and the Board.

A veteran of the business world, Mr. Shevitz is retired after a 30-year career in the professional training and education field. Most recently, he served as President of Learning Tree International, a leading worldwide provider of technology training to large corporate and governmental organizations. Previously, Mr. Shevitz held corporate leadership positions as Executive in Residence, Education for Great Hill Partners, and CEO of UMUC Online. Mr. Shevitz has an MBA from the University of Virginia and has been a resident of Montgomery County since completing his studies in 1981.

Delight is a graduate of Future Link’s 2016 Spring seminar! She holds an AA in Business Administration from Montgomery College and a BA in Economics with minors in International Development & Conflict Management and Entrepreneurial Technology from the University of Maryland. Delight is currently working full time at Making Cents International as an Operations Associate and running her own fashion business. Delight brings her experience as a former Future Link student and current alumna along with her youthful perspective to the Board of Future Link!

A founding member of Future Link, Ms. Henry is an attorney and the managing member of HIP Projects, LLC, an apartment management and hospitality firm. Ms. Henry also serves as the Chief Inspiration Officer for Barking Mad Café, located in Gaithersburg, MD. Since 1999, she has worked with her husband, Peter J. Henry, and a team of talented professionals to develop Spectrum Town Center, a multi-modal, smart-growth mixed-use development in Upcounty Montgomery County, MD. Ms. Henry earned her Juris Doctor degree from The Columbus School of Law (Catholic University).

Carlos Lugo
Vice President & General Manager, Single Digits, Inc.
Originally an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, Carlos is an accomplished professional with a wide range of expertise spanning telecom, infrastructure, point of sale systems, artificial intelligence and program management. Carlos began his career as an IT Technician and quickly ascended to a leadership role as an IT Manager in the early 2000’s. Since then, Carlos has gone on to hold IT leadership roles in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education and Hospitality. Currently, Carlos serves as Regional Director for Marriott International’s Northeast Region where he is responsible for supporting the technology operations for 100+ luxury and premium brand hotels primarily within the nation’s capital.
Carlos earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from DeVry University and an MBA from The Keller Graduate School of Management. He holds certification credentials in Project Management, Data Management, Performance Management and Digital Transformation from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
In his free time, Carlos enjoys traveling with his wife and children. Carlos is fluent in both English and Spanish, and loves watching and coaching baseball.

Tonya R. Mason, PhD
Collegewide Dean of Student Success and Rockville Student Affairs, Montgomery College.
Dr. Mason brings more than 25 years of experience in student affairs to her role as the collegewide dean of student success and Rockville student affairs at Montgomery College. Since 2001, she has served students at the College as a counselor and department chair of Counseling and Advising, as an administrative associate in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Services, and most recently, as the associate dean of student services at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Notable accomplishments in these roles include developing more than 70 transfer articulation agreements with four-year institutions and other community partners, creating a successful athletic eligibility certification process, and managing relevant academic area reviews and outcomes assessment processes. In addition, she has participated in many campus and collegewide committees, including the Academic Area Review Committee, Title IX Advisory Committee, Collegewide Behavioral Intervention Team, Closing the Achievement Gap Task Group, and the Presidential Search Advisory Committee. These and other contributions earned Dr. Mason the Faculty Outstanding Service Award in 2011. Prior to joining Montgomery College, Dr. Mason served in various capacities at the University of Maryland, the University of Pennsylvania, and Towson University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Arts and doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Maryland.

George Quinn, CPA
Founder & CEO, TBH Consulting
Mr. Quinn is the founder and CEO of TBH Consulting, which provides accounting and financial reporting advisory services to public and private companies. Prior to launching TBH Consulting, he spent more than 29 years in public accounting, including 18 years as a Partner. Most recently, he led Ernst & Young’s (EY) Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice for the Northeast region. Before leading the FAAS practice, Mr. Quinn served as an audit partner at EY. Mr. Quinn has served on several boards in the past including the Aerospace Industries Association, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (Treasurer for two years) and The National Center for Children & Families (Treasurer for five years). He joined Future Link’s Board in 2017.
